1995 – 2005, 1990 – 1992:  Executive Director, Weir Farm Trust.
Non-profit art organization working in partnership with National Park Service at Weir Farm National Historic Site, one of two NPS Sites devoted to American art.

1992 – 1995:  Executive Director, Administration, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Competitive residency program for advanced visual artists.

1986 – 1990:  Executive Director, Queens Council on the Arts. Arts service organization for artists, arts organizations, and the public. Awards and Honors: 1990 Queens Borough President’s Citation of Honor; 1990 Directors’ Leadership and Service Award; 1989 Black American Heritage Foundation Community Service Award. 

1978 – 1984:  Associate Professor of Art, Southampton College of Long Island University.
Director, Fine Arts Division (appointed 1982); Courses taught: Painting (all levels); 2-D Design; Color Theory; BFA Directed Study; Summer Graduate Courses in Painting, Drawing, and The Master Workshop. Award: 1980 Southampton College, Long Island University Award for Outstanding Service.
